Meet the Team

Julie Reedy, LSW

Owner and President

With 37 years of dedicated experience in the social service industry, Julie Reedy is the heart and soul behind Temp Social Work. Holding a licensed social worker certification in Minnesota, she has honed her skills in a wide array of environments—from skilled nursing facilities to hospitals, assisted living, home care, and group homes.

Before becoming the visionary behind Temp Social Work, Julie spent years cultivating her skills within the very organization she now leads. Her wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to her clients have made her a trusted name in the social services industry.

Outside of her professional life, you’ll find Julie walking the trails, enjoying a casual game of golf, or soaking up quality time with her family and friends at their lake cabin. Married for 33 years and a proud mother and grandmother, Julie values family deeply—whether it’s the one she’s created at home or the relationships she builds with her team and clients.

Her mission is clear: make lives better, one compassionate solution at a time.

  • Heather Betters, LISW

    Director of Home Care

    With over 20 years in the home health care industry, Heather brings her expertise to Temp Social Work by managing our home care division. As a Licensed Independent Social Worker, Heather also helps problem solve and support our team.  She also assists with payroll and time card submission.

    Heather has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota.

    On her days off,  she enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and three daughters, and taking occasional getaways to warmer destinations.

  • Kelli Rykal

    Director of Human Resources 

    Kelli is passionate about connecting great employees with the right opportunities. As a recruiter and manager at Temp Social Work, she focuses on finding the best fit for each role while creating a welcoming and supportive environment where employees feel valued.

    She holds a B.S. in Health Sciences and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of South Dakota and has a diverse background in human resources, recruitment, quality vigilance, and global health.

    When she is not working, Kelli enjoys walking around the lakes, cooking new recipes for her family, and squeezing in the occasional round of golf with her husband—when they're not busy chasing their young daughter around.

  • Melanie Sutton

    Vice President

    Melanie brings enthusiasm and a strong customer focus to Temp Social Work. As vice president, she is dedicated to helping clients navigate staff transitions and vacancies with ease. Her commitment to long-term relationships drives her to find solutions that meet the needs of both clients and social workers.

    She holds a degree in Business Management & Marketing from the University of St. Thomas and has extensive experience in sales and customer service.

    Outside of work, Melanie loves to travel and experiment with new recipes inspired by her adventures. She enjoys the outdoors, whether she’s walking her dog, running, or practicing yoga. She also spends as much time as possible at her cabin, where she enjoys fishing, swimming, and relaxing by the lake.

  • Kim Wagner, LSW

    Director of Outreach and Social Services

    Kim was born and raised in Apple Valley, MN. She attended Minnesota State University Mankato and earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. 

    As a Licensed Social Worker, Kim has worked in a variety of settings including transitional care, long term care, memory care and home care.  Kim is the Executive Board President of the Minnesota Nursing Home Social Workers Association (MNHSWA) as well as the Twin Cities Chapter President. Kim leverages her expertise as a social worker to help organizations bridge staffing gaps and ensure seamless support during times of need.

    When not in the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young children and their dog at their cabin in Wisconsin. Kim also enjoys playing cribbage, reading and trying new restaurants.
